Village Manager’s March 27 Memo to Close Office

The Village of El Portal Administrative Offices are closed for all non-essential staff and the general public. All non-essential Administrative staff, including employees of the Building Department, Code Enforcement, Maintenance and Public Works, as well as the Administrative Offices, are directed to stay home.

Our Village has hired a private licensed company to disinfect the hall. The work began Friday and was expected to be completed by no later than Saturday.

The decision was made out of an abundance of caution after a fellow member of the Village team who works outside of Village offices in the Department of Maintenance and Public Works reported by email that he tested positive for COVID-19.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the health and safety of our employees and residents is our priority. We will notify staff and residents of the reopening of the offices.

Please continue to practice social distancing and follow the requirements of Miami-Dade County’s Safer at Home.
