Thank you again for giving me this opportunity to serve, once more, as a voice in your stead. I truly take great pride in this honorable post. I must state, if El Portal is to progress, we must put aside all our indifference and focus on what tangible commodities can direct our fair Village. A collective consciousness should represent and embody our governing body. As people we are unambiguously bound to one another.

Knowing others is insightful, Knowing the self is enlightenment, Mastering others requires effort, Mastering the self needs strength. These are words of wisdom that can and should encompass El Portal. El Portal, a community rooted by our diversity has come a long way from its humble beginnings, yet we must not let its beginning be our lasting existence. A community like ours, unlike any other, should affirm collective consciousness.

In closing, let’s not forget that this honorable post you have afforded me is a declaration to serve and represent each and every Villager, and I pledge this to you ALL.
