Village Manager Jason Walker

Jason Walker is the Village Manager of El Portal. According to the Village Charter, the manager is the chief administrative officer of the village and is responsible to the Village Council. The manager’s duties include hiring, supervision and removal of all village employees except the Village Attorney and the Village Clerk. The manager directs and supervises the village departments and offices, but does not have authority over the village boards and agencies. The manager prepares the village’s annual budget for council approval and submits an annual financial report to the council at the end of every year.
